GCC residents have become trendier, and more brand conscious. This new league of urban dwellers is keen on trying new brands and concepts (including the foodservice industry), reflecting their social status. Consequently, the food consumption pattern of GCC residents is changing from traditional Arabic cuisine to more international flavours, ranging from Japanese (sushi) to Indonesian, Italian, and Lebanese food. European foodservice brands gaining ground, European foodservice brands have recognized the GCC population’s gastronomical appetite.
